Growler E
...'Growler', of course, being the name of the Jaguar badge, rather than anything seedy.
Much is happening this year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the E-Type Jaguar, and one of the more controversial commemorations takes the form of Vizualtech's Growler E renderings. But this is no pie-in-the-sky visualisation exercise: a limited run of Growler Es will be built.
Based on XKR running gear, power comes from Jaguar's supercharged 5.0-litre V8, remapped to provide a meaty 600bhp. The chassis will be a bespoke carbon-fibre/aluminium spaceframe affair, with a composite body on top. They'll take around six months apiece to build, and could cost anywhere between £420k-£850k (which is quite a vague spectrum). So... cheaper to buy a real E-Type, but an entirely different proposition altogether.
