Spartan V

Bike-engined track specials are nothing new, but their continued presence does much to stir the soul and reassure us that the act of driving for the sheer hell of it won't be diminishing in popularity any time soon.

The Spartan V is Australian, but you wouldn't know it. It's powered by a Ducati v-twin and it looks like a Maserati. The engine produces 170bhp which, in a car that only weighs 300kg (approximately the weight of a sea lion, fact fans) equates to a 0-60mph time of around 3 seconds. You get Ohlins suspension, Wilwood brakes, Sparco seats, a sequential gearbox, and not a lot else. Marvellous.

Click here for more. They're only producing 300, so you don't have a lot of time to scrape together your AUS$90,000...
