BMW Art Cars

Racer and auctioneer Hervé Poulain came up with the Art Car idea in 1975, when he commissioned Alexander Calder to paint his BMW 3.0 CSL Le Mans race car. Since then, the BMW Art Car collection has grown to seventeen cars, featuring the work of such artists as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and David Hockney.
This official video explains further:

The latest Art Car, an M3 GT2, was painted by Jeff Koons and has been flitting around the show circuit all summer after competing at Le Mans.
