M3 ute
Given that this started doing the rounds on t'internet on April Fool's Day, you'd be forgiven for thinking that it was a hoax. Particularly since BMW admitted that it was. (Well, the idea that it might go into production was, at least.) But it is, in fact, the real deal: a unique commission for BMW's M division to create a pick-up truck out of an M3. It's got 414bhp, it's been clocked at 186mph at the Nürburgring, and it's even got a jazzy targa roof. Being based on the M3 convertible - thanks to the extra bracing it has - you might think it would carry a weight penalty over the coupe, but it's actually 50kg lighter. And while it isn't going to be entering production alongside the coupe, saloon and cabrio, it does actually exist as a one-off. Really.
