There are few things as beautiful as a classic Ferrari engine.
This particular one belongs to a '57 Ferrari 625/250 Testa Rossa, spotted a while back in California by MotorMavens. A legendary Bruce Meyer car, its history includes such drivers as Carroll Shelby and John Von Neumann, the latter having originally commissioned this car and one other from Enzo Ferrari, specifying the 625 Testa Rossa with the four-cylinder 2.5-litre Le Mans engine. Of course, you can see from the photos that this is no longer powered by a four-banger; at some point in its life the 625 has been fitted with the 3.0-litre V12 of the 250TR, which is altogether more proper.
