To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Frecce Tricolori (the Italian Red Arrows), Pagani created the special edition Zonda Tricolore. Based on the already limited Zonda Cinque, the titanium-infused carbon-fibre of the bodyshell is left bare, protected by a blue-tinted clear lacquer. The car features a few unique touches to tie it into the whole aviation theme: a vertical fin atop the engine cover (to replace the usual snorkel), LED lights on the nose that echo in shape the tailfin of a Frecce Tricolori plane, and matching Italian stripes.
Gimmicky? Perhaps. But it's every bit as staggering as the Cinque, with a little more exclusivity thrown in. Which it should have, since it costs £1,340,000.
